The ingredients needed to make Veg pulav:

  1. Prepare 2 cups of basmati rice.
  2. Get 1/2 cup of finely chopped carrot.
  3. Use 1/2 cup of finely chopped French beans.
  4. Get 1 of bay leaf.
  5. Take 1-2 of green cardamoms.
  6. Get 1 of black cardamom.
  7. Use 1-2 of cloves.
  8. Use 1 of star anise.
  9. Get 1 of small mace.
  10. Provide 2 tbsp of ghee.
  11. Use 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
  12. You need 1 tsp of sugar.
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  15. You need 8-10 of raisins.
  16. Use 8-10 of almonds chopped.

Steps to make Veg pulav:

  1. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp ghee. Add bay leaf, cardamoms, cinnamon stick, cloves and saute for few seconds. Now add chopped French beans, carrots and saute for few seconds. Now add washed rice and fry for few minutes. Add 4 cups water (double amount of rice quantity). Now add turmeric powder, salt, sugar, 1 tbsp ghee. Add raisins. Close the lid and allow for two whistles..
  2. Switch off the flame. Keep until the air is completely out. Now remove the whistle and open the pressure cooker lid..
  3. Transfer to serving bowl, garnish with chopped almonds. Enjoy with your favourite curry..
